This smooth, comforting blend is designed for the espresso drinker, although it brews great on just about any brew method. It comes from two different origins – Cerrado smallholder farms in Brazil and Altura microlots in Colombia.
About Brazil Cerrado smallholders
This exceptional coffee is a natural-processed regional blend from Sul de Minas, Brazil, defined by its dense, smooth mouthfeel. Sourced through Falcafe’s transparent, sustainability-driven network, it brings together three family-run farms – Sitio Santo Antonio, Sitio Bem-te-vi, and Sitio Rancho G – each representing generations of coffee-growing expertise and a long-term commitment to responsible agriculture.
The blend combines the structural reliability of Mundo Novo with the refined sweetness and balance of Yellow Catuai, expressing a profile that reflects both tradition and innovation in Brazilian coffee production. Farmers practise agroforestry, soil and water conservation, and diversified farming systems, supported by Falcafe’s fair-pricing model and ESG investments that strengthen community resilience and the future of coffee in Sul de Minas.
About Altura
This microlot comes from the Buesaco region of Narino bordering Ecuador. Coffee grows here at some of the highest altitudes in Colombia, with some areas reaching 2200 metres above sea level. The region of Buesaco is known for its high quality coffee producing lots that have placed in the cup of excellence in Colombia.
This producer group is made up of 420 small holders from the towns of Juanambú, Buesaco centro, Santa María, El Naranjal. Of these growers 52 have been selected to be part of the ‘Café Con Altura’ program run by the producer group. These growers have received extra support regarding infrastructure and education as they have been identified to produce exceptional coffees. The small holders here typically apply a washed process that undergoes fermentation for 12-16 hours before being dried on rooftops or on raised African beds for 8-14 days weather depending.
