This coffee comes from Finca La Virgen in Nicaragua. It is produced by an incredible and coffee-passionate community that have been yielding consistently impressive crops.
For such a special microlot, a team of trained harvesters, mostly women, hand pick the ripest and best of the well tended cherries. After the weighing, sorting and cleaning process, the coffee undergoes careful sun drying on raised beds for about 30 days, during which the flavours of the pulp and cherry skin are wonderfully infused into the bean. So while the cup exhibits initial chocolaty notes, you’ll soon also notice a tinge of fruitiness, making this a chocolaty and fruity indulgence. Best of both worlds!
