This month’s Limited Edition is the Wahana Graha Rasuna, hailing from the Indonesian highlands. The Wahana Estate’s proximity to the volcanic Lake Toba means that their coffees are enriched with high mineral content in the soil.
The farm was established in 2003 in Indonesia’s coffee capital, Sumatra, and has since obtained its UTZ and RFA certifications. These certifications are an all-encompassing promise for sustainability – by financially enabling underserved farming families, and safeguarding the environment. Under their
Support Organization, they’ve built homes schools and even a clinic.
The Rasuna is a hybrid of the Catimor and Bourbon varieties, cultivated during the Dutch colonial rule. Steeped in rich history and characteristic of the quintessential Indonesian coffee profile, Wahana Estate actively undertakes its role as a preserver of the coffee, and an integral part of Indonesia’s
coffee story.
