This exclusive microlot called the Finca La Bendincion II, is produced by Armando Aguilar, the oldest of the Aguilar brothers in the coffee growing mountains of Alotepec-Metapán. More fondly known as The Third Apple, it has a unique terroir that distinguishes itself from other coffees from the Chalatenango region in El Savador. It is no wonder that this farm was the 2019 National Winner in the Cup of Excellence.
It is also interesting to note that Pacamara is a hybrid coffee variety that was created in El Salvador in the 1950s, being a cross between the Pacas and Maragogype varieties. Its distinct features are its large sized beans, having a high acidity and complex flavour profile.
As it is a natural process coffee, we cherish its citrus taste notes of juicy tangerine, lemons and oranges, harmoniously coupled with cinnamon spices and maple syrup to give it a festival of flavours in a freshly brewed cup, roasted to an omni roast to suit all brew methods.
